My friends, I am sharing with you all part 1 of my video tutorial on how I made some of the BAUBLE CAKES shown on the photos above. I’ve made BAUBLE CAKES using RKT, baked half sphere cakes and the “cake pop technique”. In this video, I will be showing you all how to make bauble cakes using the “cake pop technique” which in my opinion is the easiest way of making bauble cakes specially for beginners.
Bauble cakes are great for Christmas themed individu...

With Easter just around the corner, I thought I would share this tutorial for calla lily cupcakes! I have also included my recipe for Coconut Macaroon cupcakes and frosting! Enjoy!!
Step 1: Roll out your white fondant or gumpaste to 1/8” thick. Use a calla lily cutter or a heart shaped cutter to create the calla lily.
Step 2: Form the cut-out heart (point side down) around the plastic calla lily former (you can buy one of these at Michael’s or AC Moore). You can also use an ic...

You will need
Silicone Spatula
Giant cupcake mould (silicone)
White Chocolate – 300gms
A fridge LOL
Colouring to your desired choice
A little patience
Firstly bake your Giant cupcake, allow to cool and set to one side.
I use a silicone mould for my giant cupcakes, I find them much more versatile than the metal tins and much easier.
I also dont use Candy melts because a few people say that they are far too sweet, I stick with White chocolate and providing tha...

Karlene, is a lovely 11 year old (just turned) who is so charming. I met her two years ago. (I know her mom) She was looking at one of my cake photo albums when she said, “I love these cupcakes! They have the Pink Breast Cancer Ribbon on them and my mom has breast cancer.” Not what you would expect from your average 9 year old.Karlene, is 11 going on 40.You can actually hold an adult conversation with her. She sent me a photo of a cake, similar to this one, but she wanted rainbow ...

I’m not sure why are they called 3D cakes, since all cakes have 3 dimensions, but I really love them. Usually they are artworks and doing them requires lot of artistic skills. Take a look at some of the 3D cakes posted on our website. Enjoy!

And here are some grossly awesome cakes (not recommended for people younger than 18 y.o.) :

To make gum paste leaves on floral wire, you’ll need: 26 gauge (food safe) wire, green gum paste, rolling pin, angled offset spatula, CelBoard, gum glue, rose leaf cutter, dusting pouch, and a leaf veining mold or shaping foam and veining tool.
CelBoards are nifty rolling boards that have grooves along one side and circular indentions on the other. I’m not sure how I would make wired gum paste leaves without one, because they make such a handy ridge on the back of the leaf for ...

Ok, This is how to centre dowel a cake if you feel its very tall/top heavy/ etcThere are multiple ways, but this is how I did it for this specific cake. With a little help from my cakey friends :)
1.I cut a circle out from MDF with my new jigsaw cutter (yup yup!) It made lots of noise in the front garden…but you didnt really need to know that.
You then counter sink a hole in the centre (not all the way through!) which is the same size as your dowel (in this case 9mm) Put a lit...
