I did a video showing how to assemble the large flowers that use a center and extra petals around it. Since I have another one to make this weekend I thought I’d share the link.
This style of cake looks best when the tiers are taller and closer in size to each other, rather than more of a pyramid shape. For example, a 5-7-9-11 will look better than a 5-8-11-14. The taller tiers make it easier to apply the flower petals in a flatter shape and make it look better.

Hi, Michal – we are so blessed to have many talented cake designers willing to share their techniques – so I was wondering if it would be possible to add a PRINT button to the Tutorials page so that we can easily print out these instructions.
If you have this feature already – please, tell me where I can find it. I love so many of these tutorials, but find myself copying and pasting them onto a Word document so I can refer to them while making these great cakes.

I love receiving feedback from customers…. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Bring it on…... I like to hear it all. Of course I like a glowing report as much as the next person but I also need to know if something is not right!!! I have made enough cakes now to know that this is not my area of concern ….... what I do worry about is that someone may mentio...

Hello everyone well I keep coming across many customers who keep saying my prices are expensive. I have my own bakery and with all the overhead cost I feel that my prices are quit reasonable. I had a lady call me and ask me for a quote on a 3 tiered cake for a graduation as well as a quote for 20 cake pops. I told her the cost for the cake would be $120 and I would need to see the picture of her idea and the price would go up depending on the amount of detail. She almost had a heart attack an...

Ive sat down many time at the computer or with a pad and pencil trying to create a logo for my cake business. How hard can it be really, well quite hard.I find it easier to create a wedding cake then to design a logo.
So today i finally bit the bullet and sat down all day creating a logo, ive not just created one but 6.I will give them to my very supportive outspoken honest hubby who will then tell me what is rubbish and what is good.Other wise it will be another full day sitting at the co...
