Poinsettia Fondant Cupcake Topper

200 days ago by CakeCreationsbyME | 5 comments »

I am finding many uses for the star shape cookie cutters. Here is a fast and simple way to make a Poinsettia cupcake topper. Tools you will need plus fondant with either Tylose Powder or gumpaste. Put your stars together, largest on the bottom working your way to the top with the smallest. Using your fondan...

I have had a love for Judy Garland since I was a little girl; my father introduced me to The Wizard of Oz when I was two. From that moment on, I watched every Judy Garland movie I could find. I introduced Sydney to Judy Garland and… Read the whole story »

Castle Cake

80 days ago by Thecakeaddict | 0 comments »

Castle Cake:I found these snaps in my archive and thought it would help some one. Very fond memories are associated with this cake as this was my daughter’s first B day cake. And Yes, even my first Novelty cake and that too when I didn’t know the A B C D of baking or decorations. You can see all the flaws in the cake. Confession time : I used Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix and icing to make the 6 cakes. After all, who has the guts to try out a cake from scratch when they are trying it for t...

Chocolate Cake - Delicious on it's own

If you notice I have given you two different methods to make it.The first method will give you a slightly more lighter cake, andThe second lazy method will give you a slightly less light cake. Both are equally delicious. And I’ve tired both method . Makes one 9” cake layer about 2 inch tall Or two 7” ...
