Fondant Feathers #1: Making a feather with fondant!

24 days ago by Timbo | 2 comments »

I love to keep everything I do, very simple….but simple doesnt always mean EASY! LolFor this tutorial, you may want to use Gumpaste… I used Wilton Fondant (For the record, I ALWAYS use the Liz Marek Recipe, but for these, I wanted them to get hard, so I didnt.) Start off with a strip of fondant, and cut both sides at an angle, depending on how big you want your feather! You may also want to try using your pizza cutter or small rolling cutter to give the feather dramatic curves&...

Using Faux cold porcelain for the first time

27 days ago by LMCakeDesign | 8 comments »

Unfortunately although the sugar craft store stocked Modena it is Out of stock right now! But they had a product called “Hearty Soft” it said it was a faux cold porce...

29 days ago by cakesbynadia | 1 comment »

I’m starting to realise there is only so much information that I can fit into my brain. Perhaps a little pink bar for memories and emotion, heaps of green space taken up by my thoughts and worries, a coloured section each for the kids, work, school, cake, food, drama, after school activities, recipes, the house, the husband. I wonder how much I can fit in, ...
