For those of you who have read my blog will know that my life and cake seem to follow disaster after disaster yet somehow I keep going and somehow it manages to work!!! Us cake decorators, we are a special breed …... we exist on lots of caffiene, little sleep and the appreciation of those we decorate cakes for. Despite the sleepless nights, we love what we do, and we do it, disasters or not!!

I use cookies instead of the cake and i use royal icing to cover it that’s why i called it cookie pop. It’s easy to make and you can use anykind of cookie and marmalade :) Hope you like it.

I posted a few days ago Sydney will be turning 21, and I am creating a few different cakes for her to choose from for her party. This is the first cake for her to view. This cake is a billow weave, Susan Trianos has a wonderful video explaining how she creates a wonderful tufted billow weave cake. This is inspired by Julia M Usher’s “cookie box”. Thank you Julia for sharing. I used tylose treated fondant for the body of the cookie box. You can also use modeling chocolate.
