ClICKSTIX is one of my favorite tool but just like every other tools I have, I was faced with a big “uh-uh” moment when I first used it. I am not one to give up specially on something I had set my heart on to so I experimented on various ways to effectively use it. Here’s my very effective way of using my CLICKSTIX letter cutters. Crystallizing flowers will give your cakes that special touch all bakers long for – although it takes a little bit of work, the end result is well worth it. Here’s how: Ingredients: 1 Tbsp. gelatin (Knox can be used, but it tends to lump) 6 Tbsp. Water at room temperature Sprinkle the gelatin over water and mix right away – if bubbles form, skim them off the top. I have recently become pregnant and suffer from morning sickness all day and night..no relief EVER!! To make it worse certain smells really set it off and unfortunately one of those smells are cakes… haha probably not a great combo for me at the moment… Has anyone else got through this obstacle??? I would love to know what you did..all tips are appreciated.

So my work mate asked me to make an engagement cake for her freind.The cake marble mud cake. Great, then she sent me the photo, another cake based on the gorgeous cake by Inspired By Michelle Designs! I only hoped I could do it justice. Ribbon loops, fairly easy, crystals I can get them. Clearly the Cake Gods were against me from the start! Firstly I had an angry cake that came out of the oven! Dont matter I will make you PRETTY!! Then disaster, no black fondant at my local supllier...
