Very easy way to make palmtrees without wires. This way works for me because is so easy, it doesn’t need to cut individual leaves and do not requiere wires.

Cut 4 or 5 stars, depending of the numbers of palmtrees you want. I used the wilton star cutter the big one (3 per package).
With a exacto knife make small cuts in the inside angle of the stars
Then with a curve tool, round the corners and angles.
Make little cuts along the edges of the leaves
make some “coconuts” and stick to the leaves
Insert the trunk among the coconuts and voila!! palmtrees are ready
