This cake was requested by the customer to have a fondant racing car in the colours of the mercedes petronas racing team

A fishy trout cake for a keen fisherman for his 60th Birthday. The fish is all cake with the exception of the tail & fins.

Airbrushing was used both to make the board look like wood & also to add the colour & detail to the fish.

This was my second time using an airbrush which is quickly becoming my favourite piece of decorating equipment.

When I was first given the theme for this cake I struggled a bit with what I could do to make it a bit more ‘interesting’ but after talking to the client & hearing a bit more about ‘a day at the bowls’ this os what I came up with

I was very excited when I got the order in for this cake having watched Noddy as a child. The model of Noddy is completely handmade out of fondant

A cute cake with little flying fondant bees & little ladybirds hiding amongst the flowers & vines.
The bottom tier was a vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream & raspberry jam, the 2 tier a zingy lemon sponge with a lemon sherbet buttercream, & the 2 tiers of the toadstool were a rich chocoloate with belgium chocolate buttercream.

Named Buddy by my kids this little dragon was my first attempt at craving & airbrushing a cake.

4 tiers of vanilla, belgium chocolate, lemon & mint chocolate topped with a fairytale castle. The models were both handmade from modelling paste

This is my first castle cake which I had lots of fun experimenting with as it was for my daughters birthday.

This cake is not my design but was from a picture supplied by the customer & I added my own twist to the design

An 8 inch cake on a 14 inch board gave me lots of space to really have fun with this cake!! Everything on the cake os hand modelled by myself
