Butterflies and small roses made of fondant…
And a few dozen of hand-piped pink roses using my icing itself…nice combination…
I tried using silver luster dust, but…i am not convinced of the outcome…:(
The Lil’ girl enjoyed picking the butterflies after blowing her birthday candles…

One of my best so far!

Making customized cake is quite a challenge.
The Beautiful Bride Mau showed me a pic I would gonna copy.

I guess I only copied 50% of the design they wanted. The roses would have been
made of fondant, but until now, honestly, I can’t make a fondant rose so I instead used
the whipped cream I used as cake frosting and thank God it came out pretty-looking roses.

And another challenge, if not a fondant, it is hard to make tiered cakes like this.
Attaining smooth finish and razor-sharp edges is quite difficult it would take me hours to do it.

But thank God, i am 80% satisfied with the outcome…

Whewww…way to go before I could perfect customized orders…:-)

My first Barbie Doll Cake which almost took me forever to do it…
just to make a neat design and finish and a perfect shape of the doll’s dress…
but it isn’t that perfect yet..
it weighs more or less 8 kilos i guess :D Huge one!

This cake is for a young Mom of 25…gifted by his loving hubby! :-)

It seems like it took me forever to make this cake…
I had fears the round fondant may slide down when attached to the side of the cake. Thank God, it didn’t though the cake was transported in a distant place.

The head of Minnie gave me a headache…it is made of chocolate mud cake, formed like a big cake pop…
but had to cover it with fondant to attain that smooth finish.

I cant make the ears to be another fondant, it will be too heavy it might collapse inluding the ears so I had to resort to lighter materials…and not edible anymore.

Sheer hardwork really!

This cake I made in a jiffy!
T’was a challange because whenever I make cakes, it should be ordered way ahead
of time.

But my customer, a new one, came at lunch time and wanted the cake done
before dinner time! That was quite a challenge! :(

Well, thank goodness, the cake was picked up much earlier than 6 pm.
I was able to beat the deadline! :-) :-)
Whewww…perspiring profusely at 16 degress :D

Downside of rush order: the princessess (which were chosen by the li’l girl Trisha) were bigger than the castle. Ha ha ha

The li’l birthday girl wanted butterflies…and this is all I could give her!

Finally I have a wedding cake for 2013…and it is my first for this year!
Made of creamy chocolate cake, chiffon with strawberry filling and my signature-delicious carrot cake!

I personally made the fondant flowers! Had fun doing them!

I forgot my cam…but thank goodness, my phone cam was so friendly and I used it to take the photo!
I am so glad of the outcome!!! :-) ;-)

A birthday cake ordered by a loving daughter for her Dad’s birthday…which was a surprise!

Creamy chocolate cake inside… I am starting to learn how to combine gum paste decors with whipping cream frosting and I think it looks good :-)

My second to the last cake project for 2012 and my last wedding cake project for 2012…:-)

Frosting is made of whipped cream (powdered icing plus cold fresh milk mixed together). The flowers are made of gumpaste which took me two days to make, a beginner’s way. But I did enjoy doing it.

Cake is made of creamy chocolate cake, mocha chiffon and lemon chiffon. Don’t be deceived with the smooth finish…it is no fondant but just whipped cream frosting. This calls for lots of patience in working on the frosting to attain that almost fondant-look finish… hard work really :-)

There’s a noticeable dent on the lowest layer which i accidentally touched while packing it for delivery to wedding venue…This icing once touched is almost beyond repair already. :(

The boy whose celebrating a birthday is an angry bird fan and so this is best i could make for him ordered by his aunt from London… :-)

I had fun making this one…butter cream really is pipe-friendly…look at the flowers…looks very nice.
