A Lego City Police themed cake for a 4th birthday. I made a heavy lift helicopter, and the four little lego men were made out of fondant. I made the name plate to look like the Lego sign, and hand punched all the little lego dots to go on the board and the cake.

I made these vegan chocolate cupcakes for a friend as a little surprise, I topped it with white (green) chocolate ganache grass, and the little bear smelling the flowers I made from fondant to match the birthday card I found. The bear was so stinkin’ cute I had a hard time letting him go LOL.

I made a cake this weekend for a lady turning 65 who adores Eeyore. I made an Eeyore fondant figure to sit on top of the cake, and then decided that I wanted something more classic and “grown up” for the rest of the cake. I searched online to see what I could find for pictures of Eeyore’s house, and I came across a picture of a map for 100 Aker Wood and knew exactly what I was going to do for the cake. I painted parts of the 100 Aker Wood map on the cake, starting with Eeyore’s Gloomy Place for him to sit on top of the cake, and then around the cake I painted other parts of the map.

A hot tub cake for a guy that uses his hot tub every morning along with his coffee and phone in a ziplock bag. I made my cake board look like the patio deck (and I think it turned out pretty great!), then I made a towel with Happy Birthday on it instead of putting it straight on the cake board. I made his coffee cup include the age he was turning, his phone is in a plastic bag, and I made the fondant guy … my first time trying to create a fondant person and it turned out pretty good, although I had a hard time making his arms look normal when I tried to have them resting on the hot tub so I ended up making them go straight and covering them with the “water”. It was a fun cake!

It was for a big birthday celebration that would be serving about 200 people, the globe was the main cake and two sheet cakes went along with it. The globe was made completely with chocolate cake, filled and covered with chocolate ganache. It was a big cake made up of 4 12” cakes, 2 10” cakes and 2 small dome cakes that I made in a glass bowl for the top and bottom. Everything was edible aside from the cake board it self.

It was a cake I made just for the fun of it, so I had lots of cake to eat haha. It was coming together well, but once I started frosting the cake it turned for the worse and almost never came together, but once the frosting set it turned out ok even though it was a little lop sided lol, and the leprechaun turned out sorta cute.

The snare drum was a chocolate cake with peanut buttercream, covered in marshmallow fondant. The cymbal and drumsticks are made from fondant. I used the brands of drum and cymbals that he plays, and the drumsticks have his bands name on them which were all hand painted on.

I also picked up a portable airbrush that I got to use for this cake, first time ever …. I did a silver and black snare drum to match the drummer’s real set. I had so much fun with the airbrush, can’t wait to use it again.

I made the tiara out of fondant, with silver pearl and jewel accents. I wanted the cake to look like a Princess’s gown, so I made the bottom tier with pink ombre ruffles, a bow around the middle, and the top tier being the top of a gown is quilted with pearls and covered in pearl luster dust. The number 2 is cut out of fondant in pink and white, and I covered the pink edges in coloured sugar to give it some texture and the white is also covered in pearl luster dust for some shimmer. The little “Happy 2nd Birthday Selina” plaque is made out of fondant, and I painted on the letters, rose and borders. This cake came together so great, I love how it turned out.

One for my family’s Christmas Eve dinner and the other for my husband’s family’s Christmas day dinner. Both cakes were covered in white fondant, and wrapped in a ribbon. One had crystallized fruit on top, the blueberries and cranberries were real, but the fig I made out of fondant as I couldn’t find any figs at the grocery store. The second cake had a winter penguin and tree with some icing sugar snow.

It was my first time making a pillow cake, without using a pillow pan. The tiara was plastic so that the birthday girl could wear it for the party :)
