Here is a cake I made to the size of a 6” out of the tops and scraps from a baby shower cake I did the day before. I made this to practice working on my piping, and see what kind of designs I could come up with and not waste plenty of good cake! (My kids always help with that part, lol!) I made this to resemble a lace pattern with flowers, pearl candies and swirls.

Mario Cake with cupcakes

Here is a cake and cupcakes I made for my son’s 12th birthday this yr. His fav. old video game, I tried my best to make a few of the characters from it. I still don’t have the correct tools, (still new to all this) so it was all carved out by hand w/ a little knife, and my second attempt at working w/ fondant. The cake and cupcakes are choc. and blue butter cream on the cake, peanut butter frosting over choc. cake for the cupcakes.

Zebra Cake!

Made for a little girl’s 6th birthday. Her mother wrote me and told me what she wanted, zebra, pink, and polka dots, but I got to come up with the rest. So I made this cake, and it’s the first time using fondant and decorating with it. I made the bottom tier w/ a choc. and vanilla layer of cake, and same with the top. The bottom is covered in black and white fondant, the top is butter cream in pink. All decorations, zebra pattern, polka dots and even the bow on top are fondant, and I piped pink butter cream around the edges. It was a very fun cake to make for a little girl and I hope I can keep making cakes!

First Wedding Cakes

Hello! This is my first ever wedding I got to make cakes for! It was a July 2012 one. The bride/groom wanted their couple cake, 2 other guest cakes and the grooms cake. I went with the colors of white and pink, the colors they chose, but I had the choice to pick what ever decoration style I wanted. So, I hand piped all the roses out of icing, and hand places little candy pearls in the center of them all. And these are the pictures that was taken of their outside wedding they had, (1st pic.) plus a few close up pics. of some other cakes. They really enjoyed them, which makes me happy to hear.
