I have been baking since I was a child and loving every minute of it. It grew into baking all of the birthday cakes for my co-workers, etc. for many years and having fun with a cheap plastic tip set to make them look pretty. Then a friend asked me to make her wedding cake for her knowing that if it didn't look pretty it would still taste awesome lol. It was my first time with fondant or gum paste and that was 8 years ago and I have never looked back. Every cake I make I try to challenge myself to try at least one new skill or material or style so that I am always, always learning and after having been online for a few years now admiring cake artists from around the world, I think I need 2 lifetimes to try everything that is out there! I still work a full time job so this is my "hobby" (more like an obsession!) and I love every minute of it but the real "icing on the cake" is seeing the clients' faces when they see their cakes for the first time. It makes every long hour and difficult challenge absolutely worth it :)
