This grooms cake challenged me… I am very leary of sculpting figures. I don’t have much experience and I am not very confident in making them, especially “people”. With the help of many wonderful tutorials out there from phenomenal bakers I was able to attempt it.

One Direction Cake

I was so excited when this theme was presented to me. What a unique theme to play with.

This was only my second attempt at figure sculpting. I’m still learning, thanks to a particular customer of mine that keeps making requests that challenge me. I’m so grateful to her.

Had fun making this cake. you can’t go wrong with black white and red

Sculpting characters in not my thing. I try but, I just don’t have the “nack” for it I think. But when I got a request for this Elf on a Shelf I needed to make an attempt. This was my first, and although I think he came out ok, Its something I definitely need to work on.

This IPhone cake was a grooms cake I made for a my cousins husband. He is an Apple product junkie and each App on the ICake represents something about him…. where he is from…schools attended…. work…. favorite things… etc. He was overjoyed with it.
