Between you and me this is one of my fav wedding cakes I have made this season. It is chocolate under the fondant with gluten free choc for the top tier. It was driven approx. 200km to the venue and thankgoodness made it safe and sound. Thankfully Carie and her mum drove it there cause deliveries really worry me – I know there will be a day when I open the boot and it wont be too flash lol

I made this cake for my friends wedding. They asked for the chinese symbol of double happiness to be standing ontop, so I asked my father-in-law who is very handy with a saw to cut me one out of wood because I was scared it would be too flimsy out of icing for the garden wedding. – didnt he do a great job:-)

I made this cake for Elliot thru operation sugar which is the nz charity for donating cakes to sick children, I got to meet Elliot and he and his family were so luvly I felt lucky to be part of his birthday and grateful I could put another smile on his face

This cake was ordered by a man for his wife as a surprise for her 30th birthday, she loves smurfs and he wears glasses and thought brainy would be a representation of him.

The bride and showed me a pic of two figurines picnicing by Bake a boo cakes and asked me to use this as inspiration for thier topper, except have the figurines looking like the couple and in thier wedding costumes

I made this cake to donate to the local kindy and I thought everyone loves winnie the pooh so hope fully it would raise a decent amount for them…. I’m not sure how much it raised however it got a great reaction :-)

I used to be a purist but I love making these cakes they take me back to when I used to play dress up barbies except this cake design is better cause I get to make up the dress design :-)

This is my first wedding cake of the season, my Aunty commissioned me make this for a bride who wasnt going to have a cake at her wedding at all. It was my first wedding cake using stencils :-)

I made this for my sons fifth birthday. He designed it with his father and after running the design past me he turns to his father and says ‘wow thanks Dad’ lol – yeah designing it was the hard part :-). The KT are for his initials and meant to be his very own super logo.

This cake was made for Charlie who was turning 7. I was asked to do a nemo cake and had in mind a round cake with a nemo swimming around or a painting of nemo on top and then I decided on a 3d version, it was touch and go getting the stripes smooth but I was very happy with it in the end!

This cake was made for a 2years olds birthday, and it was meant to be him driving the tractor with a rabbit on the trailer, however I think the ‘rabbit’ looks more like a rat lol

I made this cake for a friends daughters 4th birthday who wanted ‘a white unicorn with rainbow hair’ – I must have fulfilled the brief because she was sooo happy when she saw it :-)

I made this for a friend who lives in NZ but misses her family homeland of holland :-)

Shortland Street is a drama on New Zealand tv and they turned 20 earlier this year and I was asked to recreate it on tv within 2.5 hours – true to expectation the 2nd one did not come out as well as the 1st! Great fun though!

The brief for this was tree trunk and fairies so taa daa :-)

I had made the pillow with crown ontop cake for my daughters birthday and so my friend asked me to adapt that design to suit a slumber party with princess slippers ontop:-)

I made this cake for my father in law’s birthday, whoose fav dish is chinese pork and noodles. Hope you like it too

I was asked to make a cake of a mahjong board with also the couple on a couch with thier dogs and the lady eating an icecream and huby eating a burger and so this was the result :-)
