two tier owl themed first birthday cake. Lemon sponge with cupcakes. I loved making this for my friends lityle girl. First time using a grass nozzle but lots of fun. Decorating time: 8hrs.

This was my first ever attempt at a decorated cake! I might have been a bit ambitious as there were a few mistakes made (a little bit wonky!), but for a first attempt I was quite pleased! I learnt from making this cake that in future I didn’t have to try and die every single bit of icing from white – which is what I did with this one!

First four tier cake that I have made, so it was extremely heavy, but I really loved making the feather cake topper!

This is only my 6th ever cake, but I am really pleased with the way it turned out! A three tier vanilla sponge, with buttercream and jam filling.
