some little harry potter themed cupcakes for my daughters class party

this cake was made for a friends very special birthday and it shows all her favourite things and what every 40yr old needs to survive the average day…..hehe

i made these for my childrens school fair today and took my inspiration from a tutorial posted on here a couple of weeks ago by http://cakesdecor.com/karlad5. im not a cupcake maker/decorator but the tutorial was so easy and i think they turned out ok (they are gingerbread cupcakes underneath) next week im back in my comfort zone with a 40th birthday cake…..so many ideas, i cant wait to get started

i dont seem to have had much time for sugarcraft over the past week, christmas is taking over but i did squeeze in this little cyclamen as a ‘just for fun’ project

im feeling in the mood for christmas so i made this festive spray today and put a tutorial up on how to make the poinsettia, hope it gets you all in the mood for christmas

this got me silver in the miniature floral exhibit at CI last week. i used basic fondent on the board, coloured and textured to look like paving slabs.

strictly speaking this isnt a cake but a my entry for the decorative exhibit at cake international 2012, i got a silver….very pleased !
