My customer wanted a stack of books- her daughter’s favourites—as a cake for her daughter. When I found that The Wizard of Oz was the little girl’s best loved book, I decided to make that alone.
I painted the background, then made the characters out of fondant/gumpaste and put them on the cover of the book. It was my first time making a book. Harrowing to say the least :)

Saw this on FB sometime back and absolutely fell in love. I’m not sure who made the original cake, but it is really cute. My cake was a yummy chocolate cake with ganache in between, and on top. My pigs were made of fondant. And I stuck chocolate filled redondo cookies on the sides.

A mermaid sitting on a rock, for a little 7year old girl. The cake was vanilla with pink and white marbling. Buttercream icing with fondant figures. Mermaid was made with gumpaste.

Three layers of chocolate and orange mud cake, with a cream cheese frosting between the layers. Ganache and fondant covered. Crown was made of gumpaste and painted with silver luster dust.

This cake was for a friend’s grand daughter. A little 3 year old who loves ballet and ballerinas and all things pink! I felt thrilled attempting the beautiful ballerina from Carlos Lischetti’s book. Thank you all for looking!

Red velvet cake in three layers with creamcheese and white chocolate frosting for a 17 year old.

A warm Thank you to Alisa of Cakeworks, who let me use her beautiful design. The cakes were dark chocolate mud with ganache. All the decorations were made of fondant. Dice were cake pops. I really enjoyed making this cake. Thank you for looking.

Vanilla cake with buttercream frosting. The mom wanted a fairy tale garden look to it. A little plastic Tinkerbelle adds the touch.

Made these Devil’s Food cupcakes for a school Christmas Party.

This was a two layer vegan red velvet cake that I made for out Creation Myths Study Group finale.

The top was cream cheese frosting. Yummy!

Sorry….I’m not able to edit and turn these to face the right way.

This was a class that I did with the wonderfully talented Sharon Wee. I learned a lot and had FUN hanging out with cake enthusiasts.

Chocolate cupcakes with fondant toppers.

I made this cake for a friend who has twin boys…rich,dark chocolate cake with fresh cream frosting. The fondant elephants were gobbled up in seconds :)

The cake was an orange Madeira cake with buttercream frosting.

This cake is inspired by Cakesandcookies. She makes the most amazing “hidden picture” cakes.

Mine has nothing hidden inside except millions of calories. But I loved the pale green with all the cute ladybirds and bees and flowers.
