I used gelpaste colors as paint over fondant, and used the background from the original work as design on the side of cake to highlight the portrait.

This is a very special cake for I used the sepia photo of my Mom and Dad’s wedding picture some 40 years ago for me and my husband’s 15th year Wedding Anniversary.

My inspiration for this cake is our tablecloth! Again I used gelpaste as colors diluted in water and used them like watercolors. I especially love that it turns out like an oil painting because I used luster dust as highlighter after it has dried
