Based on my very popular Buttons cake which was in the Daily Top 3 in June last year…

The bride wanted greens and purples incorporated into the design, she had made 70 feet of bunting for the reception room using gingham fabrics, spotty fabrics and floral fabrics so I decided to incorporate these as well using edible printing.

I got a lovely email the day after the wedding thanking me and saying it was absolutely stunning :o)

Bespoke 13th birthday cake for Courtney who loves reading, listening to her iPod, Starbucks, Converse and girly magazines.
I was given photos of her bedroom to work from and I think I did a pretty good job!
I delivered the cake and Courtney was delighted, she recognised all the different bits of her bedroom down to her duvet cover :)
Everything on the cake is edible apart from the head and foot boards and ipod, the magazines, books etc are all edible printing.

As a wedding cake maker I rarely get to do character cakes, so I was delighted to be asked by a friend to make a fishing themed cake for her husbands birthday!

I probably spent as long on this as I would on a 3 or 4 tier wedding cake and I loved every minute of it!

All of the cake is edible apart from the bull rushes and fishing rod…

When my friend collected it she was over the moon, and apparently even her grumpy husband (her words not mine! lol) was stunned by it :o)

Selection of wedding mini cakes and domed cupcakes, embossed and stencilled with vintage flowers and hand painted/airbrushed details

Petal shaped tiers covered with soft white sugaraste, decorated with vintage lace and large peonies airbrushed with pearl and gold.
The small flowers and leaves are coped from the design which runs through the lace trim :)

Ivory wedding cake decorated with sugarpaste buttons, pearls and fabric effect flowers and hearts which have all been airbrushed with metallic, pearl and sheen colours :o)

I made this giant cupcake in 1 1/2 days as it was a last minute order, amazing what you can do when you’re pushed for time!

6” top cake in pastel yellows and greens with matching mini cakes and vanilla cupcakes

3 tier wedding cake covered with sugarpaste and a pearl lustre finish, decorated with hand made flowers – 100 roses dusted deep pink, 140 pearl blossoms, finished with sugar pearls and ribbons.

This cake design was inspired by the picture frame in the photo which was a gift at my own wedding and contains a little keep sake from a wedding card given to me by my auntie :)

This was my first 2 tier cake. I loved making this as I love making fantasy flowers and it’s such a nice colour scheme :)

This is my very first bespoke wedding cake design which was inspired by a drawing of Japanese blossom. It was my first attempt at covering large heart shaped dummies and all the sugar flowers are hand painted. I’m very proud of this design :)
