I LOVED being able to make this special giant cupcake to celebrate Olivia’s 1st birthday! Mom’s only instruction that it be bright and colorful! I have been dying to try out the “rose” buttercream frosting technique and think I did pretty good! Bottom of the cupcake was covered in fondant with a fondant ribbon and lettering. Top is just vanilla buttercream swirls. LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!

I also made 72 matching cupcakes! Thanks for looking!

Triplets - 3 Themed cake

This cake was a challenge! Mom of triplets gave me strict orders – frosted in buttercream with fondant decorations and said each child was into something different…So after lots of thinking designs out – I came up with a 3 themed cake by separating the cake into thirds. As you rotated the cake, each child had their own special side. It made for awesome pictures at the party as mom sings to each of them separately and we could take pictures of each child with their side! So cool!

The top tier letters was colored to match each of the 3 themes!

Pinwheel Wedding

Made for a good friend’s wedding. Her theme was pinwheels and she specifically wanted all buttercream with fondant decorations. This one was a challenge for me, but was thrilled with how it came out!

For the fondant pinwheels, I just layed two pieces of fondant (the teal & then the white & green) and rolled them a bit to ensure they were sealed together. The white side was just random pieces of green layed on white fondant and then using a small rolling pin, just thinned it out a bit. I then googled how to make a paper pinwheel and made the similar cuts to the fondant squares – Voila! Pinwheels! :)

At the reception I added handmade paper pinwheels that the bride put together. Her mom also found some mini fisher price toys and asked me to add them to the top too! I thought they added a cute touch! Whatever the customer wants! :)
