When I was little my Grandma would sit me at a table and my job was to ice a cake. It was either chocolate with chocolate frosting or a chocolate Big Bird pan with a gazillion yellow stars. 40+ years later I now realize it was only a distraction to get me out of her way. As a teenager that led me to a job in a bakery. That is when I developed my skills with fondant, royal icing, butter cream icing techniques and airbrush. Since I left the bakery to go to college, I have worked independently for family, friends and through referrals. This journey has taught me so much and I am eager to learn from others. Sites such as this and other blogs have been such an inspiration and really keep me motivated.
