Vanilla Custard Filling

340 days ago by smokwa | 11 comments »

This recipe was the sweet treat that my mom used to fill cream puffs with. It is not overly sweet and when paired with a white or vanilla cake it gives just the right balance of smooth vanilla flavor. You may replace the vanilla with almond extract as well to suite your need. I have also sliced fresh strawberries and layered them into...

How to Cover a Square Cake Drum – (12” or smaller) Materials Needed: Cake drum (I always use ½” thick) 12” x 12” sheet scrapbook paper Roll of contact paper Scissors STEP 1Trim your craft paper to the size of your cake board. STEP 2Cut your contact paper about 6 inches bigger ...
