The bride asked for a golden oasis dessert table, including a stunning, yet glamorous cake as the centre piece. I incorporated vera rosette ruffles, gold damask, and some glam paired with oversized gumpaste roses. The rest of the table had cupcakes, cake pops, cookies and parisian macarons. The bride wanted a deep plum purple with hints of gold and light pink. To incorporate the gold, I added gold gems into the damask pattern and outlined the rose petals with gold. For the pink, I painted the pearl tier with a pink sheen so it reflects a very subtle yet gorgeous pink sheen. The pearl tier was inspired by The Clever Little Cupcake Company.

The client wanted to incorporate all the birthday boy’s interests and hobbies into the spots, so I made them out of fondant and stuck them onto the bigger polka dots!

I thought I’d get a bit creative and tried the billowing pattern on a mini cake. Ivory, black and red seems to be my favourite combination!

This is a tiny 4”, 6” and 8” cake for a couple on their anniversary. The theme of the party was red, silver and black so I incorporated it into the cake! Iced in buttercream with black fondant tops, silver dragees and silk roses. TFL! :)

I had a bit of a hard time getting the gold finish on this without an airbrush but I was quite happy with the slightly antiqued look! TFL :)
