Greatest Fear :O

As a cake decorator my greatest fear is to miss spell (yep, on purpose) the writing on a cake (and not notice in time to fix it)!!! What’s your greatest cake decorating fear?

Definately it would be having the cake get damaged in transport. Delivery gives me extreme anxiety every single time.

I have spelled a name incorrectly! It was mortifying! To my credit, the mother (a friend of mine) never told me that her son’s name Brady was spelled ‘Bradie’, and I never thought to ask. I mean, how hard is it to spell Brady?? Her husband wasn’t too happy with me but she just laughed. She said everyone did it and it was her fault for not telling me. I always have customers write it down now…just in case! Now my biggest fear is something (anything) going wrong and arriving late for a delivery. My anxiety levels soar in the last hour before delivery!

Probably #1 would be dropping/knocking over the cake/cupcakes. #2 would be misspelling – I’m FANATICAL about checking, double-checking, triple-checking! I’m so afraid I’ll not only one day misspell the name, but something as easy as “Birthday” and end up on Cake Wrecks! ;)

My biggest fear is in the transportation process – although I take every precaution possible, I worry that something will fall in transit. Whenever I have a cake in my car, I notice every pothole on the street and worry about all the turns – when I deliver the cake safe and sound, i feel liberated! LOL
