I wear many hats right now. Pastry chef, sugar artist, cake decorator and teacher are just a few. When I am not designing cakes, you might find me in a classroom trying to educate and inspire the next generation.
I love the "science" of baking and the process of manipulating ingredients to achieve different results, which contributed to my success while attending Le Cordon Bleu. 4 years ago, I traded my position as pastry chef at a resort in the big city for the more personalized, quiet life of a hometown hero in my own cake studio. Along with the constant "Sugar High", I get to spend more time with my husband and 5 children while doing what I love each day. You could say I get to have my cake and eat it too.
