This cake was made for a customer who was struggling with the cost of the price of a wedding cake. She had originally asked for just plain white icing but she dropped enough hints over what she would really like so that I could create a wedding cake that was almost exactly what she wanted as I couldn’t let her big day down with a very plain unribboned cake.

This cake was made for a baby shower, the mum to be didn’t know the babys gender so I had to choose colours that were neutral for her.
The cake was lemon with home made lemon curd and lemon buttercream as requested by the craving mum to be.
The lid was made from a rice crispie treat as was the modelled baby in order for the whole cake to be edible.

The top tier is fruit, the lower tiers are madeira. She gave me the colours she wanted and said she wanted subtle but stylish and this is what I came up with for her. She absolutely loved it.

The Gruffalo is a very popular childrens story, particularly with my very young children.

This cake was made for a customer whose little boy adores the Gruffalo and when I delivered it to his home he couldn’t wait to see it, his face lit up and his mum actually cried, I’ve never been so proud of one of my cakes than at that moment.

I hope you all like him, he is completely edible from his toes to his tusks and is made in chocolate cake.
