Last year for Thanks Giving i wanted to try something different. You know you always make pumpkin and apple pie. Well i would say this is better than pumpkin pie by far.

Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake

Crust
  • 1 Package yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 8 Tab butter, melted
Filling
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 can pumpkin stuff
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tea vanilla
  • 8 Tab butter, melted
  • 16 oz powder sugar
  • 1 Tea cinnamon
  • 1 Tea nutmeg
Directions
  • To make the crust: Combine cake mix, egg, butter, mix well. then lightly grease a 13-9 in pan and pat the mixture into the bottom of it
  • To make the filling: Beat the cream cheese and pumpkin stuff till smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, butter, and beat together. Next add the powder sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and pour over crust and bake at 350 for 40-50 min now don’t over bake it the middle will still be a little gooey.

Enjoy

This recipe is a must for me every Thanksgiving probably for the past 7 to 8 years now…. every year, it’s just a given that I’m bringing this and still a big hit. My son & his wife even requested it as a dessert for their wedding rehearsal dinner, now that was saying a lot for this awesome recipe.

Have your say...
