The mom sent me this picture: http://andeverythingsweet.blogspot.com/2011/03/olivias-sesame-street-party.html, but only wanted a single 10” tier. She wanted the name on the sign, plus Elmo and Cookie Monster. So I translated a 3 tier cake into a single tier with a big cupcake on top. :) The cake was chocolate with cookies & cream filling, iced in vanilla buttercream and covered in MMF. All decor was fondant.

Inspired by OntheSweetSide’s duck baby shower cake here on Cakes Decor. The mom wanted “girly ducks” for her daughter’s first birthday plus a coordinating smash cake. This was an 8” round yellow cake filled and iced with vanilla buttercream and covered in MMF. All fondant decor.

Simple sheet cake with an Assassin’s Creed 3 theme (a video game). White cake with vanilla buttercream. Found the picture online and had it printed on a sugar sheet. Letters and stars are fondant.

This was for a circus themed 1st birthday party. The bottom tier is white with strawberry SMBC and iced in vanilla SMBC. Middle tier is chocolate with cookies and cream filling and iced in chocolate SMBC. Top is a jumbo cupcake, white with strawberry filling again. All covered in MMF and all decorations are fondant.

This design was based on the party invitation. It was a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and iced in vanilla buttercream. With the exception of the sprinkles, all the decorations are fondant.

I was asked to make this design from Call Me Cupcake. Though it could be used for many different occasions, this was for a baby shower. Both tiers were banana cake with caramel and cream cheese filling. Frills and flowers are fondant. The 2nd and 3rd pictures were taken by the shower hostess, who is also a professional photographer. 6” cake for my daughter’s birthday. I found the image on top online and had it printed on a sugar sheet. The images on the sides were also printed on sugar sheets. I put them on pieces of fondant and left it to her to “decorate” her own cake. She LOVED “doing what mommy does.” The second picture shows the fondant “stickers” before my daughter put them on her cake.

10” banana cake with strawberry filling, iced with vanilla buttercream. Fondant accents and mickey sprinkles.

My first time making fondant characters, and I really like how it all came together. Chocolate cakes filled and iced with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream then covered in marshmallow fondant. All decorations are fondant.

8” white cake with strawberry filling iced in buttercream. The image on the sides is a wraparound edible image. The last picture shows my color blending before I had to cover it up. I followed Sweetopolita’s tutorial for her pastel swirl cake: http://sweetapolita.com/2012/06/pastel-swirl-cake-video-tutorial/. I matched colors to the edible image and really loved how it came out – I used a dark purple, lighter purple and then a peach/pink on top. The colors aren’t translating very well through computer screen.

9×13 yellow cake with strawberry SMBC filling iced in buttercream. All the images on top are inedible, but the lettering on the side is Wlton sugar sheets. The last picture is a picture of Qwest Field I found online and used as inspiration.

A shared family birthday cake, so I tried to come up with a unisex design. White Almond Sour Cream cake filled with white chocolate mousse and blueberry SMBC. Iced in vanilla SMBC and stripes are fondant.

For my daughter’s Daisy troop that bridged to Brownies. 11×15 chocolate cake with buttercream filling, buttercream accents and sprinkles!

My first time doing squares. Stacked 8 and 6” squares. WASC cake on the bottom with SMBC for filling. Chocolate on top with strawberry SMBC filling. All iced in SMBC. Border is ribbon. Host and chalice is white chocolate with painted accents.

1 of 3 dozen cupcakes with custom Magic Tree House toppers. Mouse, moonstone, mammoth bone and a mango to go with books 4-7. Then added some books, tree branches and B’s and 6’s to personalize it for the birthday boy.
