My friend runs a non-profit animal rescue group and I have the pleasure of donating a cake for her annual benefit! Such a great cause!

Top tier: almond with almond buttercream filling
2nd tier: chocolate with ganache and raspberry filling
3rd tier: vanilla with strawberry chiffon filling
Bottom: vanilla with vanilla buttercream filling

All buttercream except for gum paste Fleur de Lis. Roses on top and reverse shell border.

This is the only picture I have. I was rushing to deliver it and didn’t have time to take better ones.

A “dirty” baseball…top and bottom tiers are almond cake with almond buttercream…middle is chocolate with buttercream. The picture really doesn’t show the “dirt” as well as in person.

All tiers covered with fondant. Client did not want a topper. I would have loved to put a glove or cap on top.

Three layers of vanilla cake iced and filled with vanilla buttercream. Fleur de Lis pieces are gumpaste made using a mold. The border was made using Wilton’s macrame mold.

I had issues with the BC on this one. I just couldn’t get it as smooth as normal.

French Toast with bacon cupcakes, maple cream cheese frosting, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, and garnished with bacon.

One 8” layer dark chocolate fudge cake with a ganache and raspberry filling. Everything is edible, except the Diet Coke label. (My printer was out of ink. :-)

This is not my design and I don’t know whose it is. If anyone knows who the designer is, please let me know so I can give credit. :-)

The “hat” is vanilla cake iced with vanilla buttercream, and then covered with fondant, using the mini sports ball pan from Wilton. The bottom is a 12” vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream. It was then airbrushed with a pearl sheen.

Three 6” vanilla cakes filled with vanilla buttercream. Pats of butter, strawberries, and banana slices made of fondant. Syrup is warmed piping gel tinted with a bit of ivory gel coloring.

Super easy and fun, fun, fun to do!

Just a simple cake to celebrate the birth of my first grandchild, which will happen Tuesday.

We had a Seussabration at work tonight to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. I was thrilled to make the cake. Sheet cake is vanilla, 10” is chocolate, the hat and “green ham” are rice krispies.
