Topsy Turvy cake made for the elementary school cast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The kids completed a great run of shows this week and were ready for a candy and cake filled party last night!

A very special cake for me made for a very sweet bride with a 3 yr old son who was recently diagnosed with a peanut and tree nut allergy. I have worried and fretted over keeping him safe so he could be at his Mommys side enjoying her cake. We worked together to verify each ingredient for safety and in the end, since we could not verify the safety of the petal dusts, I made him a little chocolate cake for himself. He stood in front of his Mommys cake this morning and said “That’s beautiful!” and he made my entire day! Bottom and top tier are lemon cake with raspberry buttercream, and the middle tier is chocolate with orange infused dark chocolate ganache.

Designed in honor of my mother and using molds made from her jewelry. This is my second Paris cake in her memory as Paris was her favorite city and our trip there together very special to me.

Spring themed cake made for the Women of Memorial womens group luncheon. Cake is lemon with raspberry filling alternated with raspberry buttercream and covered in white chocolate ganache. I also had the honor of spending several hours with the ladies showing them basic buttercream piping techniques. It was so much fun!!

40 baby block mini cakes plus a safari animal and mommy to be cutting cake. The blocks were the biggest challenge I have had since making last summers giant pirate ship and wave and were an excellent learning experience. They look so innocent and simple but I assure you they required massive organization and many days of labor. Not for the faint of heart. :o)

Based on the baby bedding Lambs and Ivy Baby Cocoa this cake features sweet baby safari animals and a brown and green color scheme. The design was inspired by the lamp which matches the bedding.

Donated cake made for our local elementary schools 2nd annual spelling bee. It was great to be asked to donate for the second year! The bee and apples are made from krispy treat.
