Dairy free lemon cake for a little girl who loves milk and sleeping, hence the name Poppy Cat!

This was a little project for a friend’s birthday. The slate is an iced cake card, the large part of the brie, the blue cheese and the goats cheese are all sugarpaste covered madeira cake. The apple and grapes are made from sugarpaste covered cake pop mix, but I won’t so that again! Rice crispie treats all the way if I do another of these! The knife is real ;)

This fairy toadstool cake is four madeira cakes, stacked and carved.

8” vanilla cake with fondant figures and matching fondant topped choc fudge cupcakes. Hope the photographer gets better photos than I did!

I was asked to donate a cake to a Valentine’s Ball in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. It was auctioned on the night, although I’ve no idea what it went for! It’s a triple layer 4” chocolate fudge cake, with dark chocolate and white chocolate ganache.

This cake was quite a specific brief. I hated the tractor. I didn’t leave myself enough time to make it, but I’m not too displeased with the overall effect.

This was a very last-minute cake, ordered on the Friday for a dedication celebration on the Sunday! It’s a 7” and a 5” cake, with hand-piped scripture in a child-like font.

This is a 10” chocolate cake for my sons’ friends’ birthday party. Their mums said the design was up to me, as long as it was George and Peppa, so I went with muddy puddles to make sure it wasn’t too girly (it was for a girl and a boy). The models are heavily dowelled, but very solid! The three blobs on each side are candle holders.

The bride wanted a cake based on her dress and witht he flowers she had in her bouquet. It’s two 8” cakes (sticky toffee and white chocolate and toffee), a 2” deep 6” dummy and a 6” carrot cake. I had a week from consultation to wedding! Oh, and I am never, ever making sea holly again!

A last minute order for a birthday cake.

A last minute order for a 6” anniversary celebration cake gave me another opportunity to spray a cake gold!
