Whip cream with colored buttercream - 2 replies

Hi guys, I’m baking a wedding cake the bride requested whipped cream instead of buttercream or fondant( stuff I’m used to), i want to make roses with buttercream colored purple, will the purple coloring make the white cream discolor?thanks for any tipsBar
